Congratulations Max!

Maximilian Hammer, a research student working in our team at the David J Apple Lab, has won the 2020 MLP Medical Excellence Scholarship. Max began his medical studies at Heidelberg University in 2016. He is currently mainly working on projects on the emulsification of silicone oils used as intraocular endotamponades.

CSI: Heidelberg. Episode 4 DMEK with EndoArt®

The EndoArt®, by EyeYon Medical, is an off-the-shelf artificial implant for partial keratoplasty. The implant works by blocking the inflow of aqueous humor into the cornea, thus reducing corneal edema. To date, two patients have received the implant, and both have performed very well.
