Heidelberg, 13. December 2023. We are pleased to announce that our specialist team, VitreoSub from the Apple Lab, has won the Science4Life Venture Cup 2024, a start-up and idea competition with applicants from all over Germany. It is an initiative to support young start-up founders with their ideas during the very first steps.

We are developing multiple promising vitreous body replacement strategies with junior professor Philipp Uhl from the University of Heidelberg’s Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology. Our ideas and prototypes have convinced experts from SANOFI, patent attorneys, investors and consultants from the life science sector.
With many exciting projects ahead and new team members onboard - including Marcel Muuss, Lorenz Herbster, and Jonathan Hert - we want to further push material science in retinal surgery towards innovation!
